I am Karl Unsichtbar, blogger and member of the band Zurückspulen. Originally from Stuttgart, Germany, I attended the Berklee School of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Majoring in Electronic Production and Design, I mastered a wide range of synthesis and production tools and systems, while absorbing their theory and principles. I have programmed and played the synthesizers since 1982. My most influential bands were Kraftwerk, Alphaville, and Depeche Mode.

I moved to Austin in the late 80s and have watched the city grow from a college town to a thriving metropolis. The music scene has changed as much as the skyline, and though I miss the old feel Austin, I love electronic music and want to showcase the best local bands – especially those that who have allowed the heart of the community to pump some blood into their art.
